The Organization

Is managed by the Director, who oversees daily operations and reports directly to the Board. The majority of staff members are Probation/Parole Officers and Family Guardians, supported by an administrative team. 

Our mission is to support a safe, stable, and peaceful society by guiding suspects and offenders, protecting children, supporting families, and preventing new victims.

J&IS is subsidized by the Ministry of Justice of Sint Maarten. The Ministry provides the structural funding needed to deliver probation & parole, family guardianship, foster care, and youth residential services. In addition to government funding, J&IS receives temporary project funding from approved donors when needed to improve or expand services.
